Refund policy

RETURNS:

  • All sales are final after 30 days.  Approved exchanges or refunds can only be completed in the first 30 days of the item shipping. 
  • To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
  • Additional non-returnable items include gift cards, downloadable software products, and some health and personal care items.
  • We cannot guarantee the packaging condition of the individual items packed within another box by the manufacturer.
  • To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
  • Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.
  • We sell new items unless otherwise specified in the title and/or description.

  • If a toy's packaging arrives damaged (squished, bent, etc.) from a distributor, we state that in the title and/or description for that item.

  • Most products received at our warehouse are in STANDARD GRADE condition, which means they are pulled from toy manufacturer shipping cases and may have only minor issues like small scrapes, dings, dents, or light creases from factory handling or friction during shipping.

  • STANDARD GRADE, however, may not meet the needs of serious collectors who desire pristine packaging, which is why we offer COLLECTOR GRADE as a relatively inexpensive add-on that ensures we take the time and effort required to select better condition packaging and pack those items with bubble wrap in slightly larger boxes.

  • COLLECTOR GRADE or not, we pack customer orders with care to try and ensure they arrive safely.

  • We guarantee the functionality of toys, but we cannot guarantee packaging will be COLLECTOR GRADE unless that add-on is ordered.

  • We do not guarantee against shelf wear, or minor damage to packaging during shipping unless COLLECTOR GRADE is ordered, so returns based on packaging condition could be subject to a restocking fee.

  • Almost without exception, toy manufacturers, distributors and couriers do not accept minor packaging flaws as evidence of damage, so postal and financial institution insurance claims cannot justifiably be made, and toy retailers cannot be held to a higher standard than manufacturers, distributors, couriers and financial institutions.

  • There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted, if applicable:
    • Book with obvious signs of use.
    • CD, DVD, VHS tape, software, video game, cassette tape, or vinyl record that has been opened.
    • Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
    • Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery.

 

REFUNDS:

  • Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
  • If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.
  • Late or missing refunds, if applicable:
    • If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. Then contact your credit card company, as it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next, contact your bank as there is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
    • If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at sales@toynado.ca.
  • Sale items, if applicable:
  • Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.

 

PRE-ORDERS:

  • Pre-orders require immediate payment at checkout.
  • We cannot guarantee pre-ordered items will be available on the estimated arrival date due to factors beyond our control, so we cannot stipulate a specific ship date, but once received we will promptly ship out your order.
  • Pre-ordered items may arrive later than the advised availability date posted on our website due to postal interruptions, Customs’ delays, manufacturing issues and other logistical problems.
  • Pre-ordered items are acquired in addition to our regular stock, so if you consider cancelling your order, please be advised that, if approved, a 15% restocking fee, or $5 (whichever is higher) may apply at our discretion.
  • If you combine in-stock and pre-ordered items, ALL items will be shipped at once when the pre-ordered items become available.
  • Placing an order with us implies you are willing to accept and be bound by these terms and conditions.
  • Please do not pre-order items if you are unable to wait, or abide by the terms and conditions outlined above.

 

EXCHANGES:

  • We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, email us at sales@toynado.ca and send your item to Toynado Toys, Unit D022 - 300 Greenbank Rd, Ottawa, ON, K2H 0B6, CANADA.

 

RIGHT TO CANCEL ORDER:

  • We reserve the right to cancel any order or pre-order without explanation.  General reasons may include:
    • Suspect or fraudulent customer information or payment details
    • The customer has made or posted false or libelous claims
    • The customer has threaten directly or indirectly the well being of staff

 

GIFTS:

  • If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.
  • If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he will find out about your return.

 

SHIPPING:

  • To return your product, please ship it to Toynado Toys, Unit H404 - 300 Greenbank Rd, Ottawa, ON, K2H 0B6, CANADA
  • You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
  • The time it takes for your exchanged product to reach is dependent on where you live.
  • If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
